About
Assemblage is pleased to present an exhibition conceived by its current studio bursary artists.
The artists have created artworks that comment on the current political situation in South Africa.
As a response inspired by the ‘Rhodes must Fall’ protest that in turn sparked similar protests around the country, this exhibition speaks about the politics of; heritage, identity, and representation – that concern not only South Africa, but the world as a whole.
These artists have been on a year long studio bursary at the Assemblage Studios funded by The African Arts Trust.
